AKS Building was contracted on a remeasured basis to complete masonry and distribution work for the Cinnamon Care Home development, called Eastcote Park, in Eastcote, Solihull. The project included the construction of a 50-bedroom care home and two additional blocks with 34 two-bedroom retirement apartments, as well as extensive landscaped gardens. The development boasts premier facilities, such as a restaurant, bar, fitness suite, cinema room, hair and beauty salon, and multiple lounges, with dedicated areas for sensory, reminiscence, and visual stimulation to support those living with dementia.

The joint venture partners Galliard Homes and Apsley House Capital employed AKS Building under a lump sum contract to deliver masonry, waterproofing, and support work for the Timber Yard residential development in Birmingham’s Southside district. The development features two buildings, offering 379 modern apartments designed by Claridge Architects, with premier specifications and leisure facilities including a gym, concierge services, and resident-only lounges.

AKS Building was awarded a lump sum contract for the Fradley Park care home development near Lichfield. The scope of work included masonry, and the project aimed to provide a high standard of care and support for people with dementia. The development consisted of a communal hub with various facilities, including a café/foyer, kitchen, hairdressing salon, and meeting room, and a total of 90 individual en-suite bedrooms.
AKS Building was awarded a remeasured contract worth £400,000 for the construction of the Tanworth Lane Care Home, which was built by Speller Metcalfe. The project included masonry work and had a 30-week duration. The care home is designed to provide excellent services and amenities for its residents. It was constructed with a masonry substructure, precast concrete floor planks, tiled roof, and aluminium windows and external doors. The building achieved an EPC A-rating and was designed with high sustainability standards, including heating via a wet underfloor installation with ground-source heat pumps and extensive photovoltaic panelling.
